Privacy Policy
Last revised: 07.05.2026
This Privacy Policy applies to MentorMaam, operated by Velora Cloud LLC (“we”, “us”, or “our”). MentorMaam provides digital profile memberships and profile-management tools for independent tutors and educators. We provide profile and contact-display tools; tutoring arrangements and lesson payments are handled directly by users outside MentorMaam.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide when you create or update an account, build a tutor or learner profile, contact us, or use site features. This may include your name, email address, phone number, profile photo, subjects, qualifications, lesson preferences, approximate location or service area, messages, reviews, billing contact details, and support correspondence.
We also collect limited technical information, such as IP address, browser/device information, pages visited, cookies, and log data, to operate the website, keep accounts secure, prevent abuse, and improve the service.
How we use information
- To create, host, and display tutor profiles and related profile pages.
- To let users view profiles and use available contact-display tools.
- To manage accounts, digital profile membership status, billing support, and customer support.
- To review profiles for completeness, relevance, safety, and compliance with our policies.
- To send service notices, login links, account updates, and support replies.
- To protect the website, prevent fraud or misuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Payments
Paid services on MentorMaam are digital profile memberships for tutors. Payments are processed by our approved payment provider or merchant-of-record provider, as shown at checkout. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. We may retain transaction identifiers, plan information, invoice details, and payment status so we can provide receipts, support, tax records, and account administration.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to support login, preferences, security, analytics, and site performance. You can control cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not work properly if cookies are disabled.
We may use analytics services, such as Google Analytics, to understand aggregate website usage and improve the service. Analytics providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Sharing information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the service, including with hosting providers, email/SMS providers, analytics providers, approved payment providers or merchant-of-record providers, professional advisers, and support tools. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.
Information you choose to publish on a tutor profile may be visible to website visitors. Contact details are shown according to the account and profile settings available in the service.
Data security and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including SSL/TLS encryption in transit, access controls, and limited staff access. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect personal information from unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure.
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain business records. You may request account deletion or correction by contacting us.
Children and parents
The service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a learner is under 18, a parent or guardian should supervise account use and any direct tutoring arrangements. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Your choices and rights
You may update account information through your profile settings. Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, or restriction of your personal information. We will respond to valid requests as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
International processing
We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with the revised date above.
